Men’s Tennis enters home stretch of regular season

Eastern Washington begins a three-match homestand to close out its season

Eastern Washington men's tennis begins its final stretch of matches tomorrow as the regular season winds down. Eastern will host Idaho State on Friday (April 14) at 10 a.m. Pacific Time in the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse.

In the team's last outing, the Eagles fell to No. 65 Boise State, 0-7, on the road for the team's final road and non-conference match. Eastern was last at home on March 31 against then No. 70 Northern Arizona, falling to the Lumberjacks, 0-7. For the season, Eastern is 4-10 overall and 0-4 in Big Sky matchups.

At the No. 1 singles spot, Steven Paz has four wins, tying him for the team lead on the season. Caden Kammerer, Tyler Dalos and Bruno Ortega also hold four wins during the spring.

Scouting the Bengals
Idaho State has a 1-5 conference record and is 7-13 overall this season. The Bengals dropped a close match against No. 61 NAU this past Sunday, 3-4 in Pocatello, Idaho. The team is currently on a three-match losing streak, with the last win coming against Montana (March 26) in a 5-2 victory.

Head coach Oliver Good is in his first season leading the Bengals after spending the past season at UNLV.
