Andrew Cook was named to the Preseason All-Big Sky Conference Team after averaging 16.1 points per game for the Eagles last season. Cook, who also earned Big Sky Player of the Week honors during the 2024–25 campaign, returns as one of the league's top scoring threats.
Montana's Money Williams was selected as the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Most Valuable Player, leading a Grizzlies team that was picked as the preseason favorite in both the coaches' and media polls. Portland State followed closely behind, landing second in each poll.
