This Thursday's (Jan. 28) and Saturday's (Jan. 30) Big Sky Conference men's basketball games between Eastern Washington and Sacramento State at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash., will not be played, however, they have been pushed back to Sunday (Jan. 31) and Monday (Feb. 1), EWU Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics
Lynn Hickey said Thursday morning (Jan. 28).
Eastern has paused all activities following a positive COVID-19 test result amongst Tier 1 individuals in the EWU program. This decision was made upon following NCAA protocols as mandated by the Big Sky Conference and in consultation with campus and Spokane Regional Health Department officials.
Both of the games are now scheduled for 11 a.m. Pacific time, pending results from Covid-19 testing on Friday (Jan. 29).
Eastern also hosts volleyball matches versus Northern Colorado on those same two days and they have been re-scheduled to 3:30 p.m. Pacific time (previously 2 p.m.).
