CHENEY, Wash. — The Eagles are gearing up for their second season under head coach
Dan Monson with a reloaded roster that includes eight new faces—six transfers and two freshmen. The Big Sky Conference officially announced the 2025-26 conference schedule today, Monday, August 4.
Eastern Washington faces a tough non-conference slate before beginning Big Sky play in January.
The season begins with two exhibition games: hosting Carroll College on Oct. 20, followed by a trip to Nevada on Oct. 25.
The regular season tips off with a four-game road stretch, beginning with UCLA on Nov. 1, followed by LMU on Nov. 5, Colorado on Nov. 8, and Seattle on Nov. 12. The Eagles return to Cheney for their home opener against Eastern Oregon on Nov. 17 before heading back out for three more road games.
They'll take on Central Arkansas on Nov. 23, North Texas on Nov. 25, and Denver on Dec. 3. EWU returns home to face Kansas City on Dec. 6 and Cal Baptist on Dec. 12.
One of the season's marquee matchups comes on Dec. 17, as Eastern Washington faces Washington State in the highly anticipated 509 Classic in Spokane. The Eagles then close out non-conference play with two road games—at Utah on Dec. 20 and BYU on Dec. 22.
Big Sky play begins on Jan. 3 with a short trip to Moscow to face Idaho. The Eagles then return home to host Montana State on Jan. 8 and Montana on Jan. 10. A road swing follows with games at Weber State on Jan. 15 and Idaho State on Jan. 17.
EWU is back in Cheney to host Portland State on Jan. 22 and Sacramento State on Jan. 24. They close out January with a road trip to Northern Arizona on Jan. 29 and Northern Colorado on Jan. 31.
February starts on the road as Eastern visits Montana on Feb. 5 and Montana State on Feb. 7. They return home to host Idaho State on Feb. 12 and Weber State on Feb. 14.
Their final road stretch begins with games at Sacramento State on Feb. 19 and Portland State on Feb. 21.
The regular season wraps up with a three-game homestand. The Eagles will host Northern Colorado on Feb. 26, Northern Arizona on Feb. 28, and close out the schedule with Senior Night against Idaho on March 2.
The Big Sky Tournament is scheduled for March 7–11 in Boise, Idaho.
